In The Beginning: How We Got Started With LED Lighting

GeoBulb EngineersThe C. Crane Company has been an innovator in LED lighting since 1997 when we began experimenting with white LEDs and realized their energy saving and other benefits. In 1998 C. Crane introduced the first multi-bulb white LED flashlight sold in the United States, the CCTrek Light. Proudly made in the USA, the CCTrek flashlight is manufactured by Tektite in Trenton, New Jersey and remains an important part of our LED product line. Our first 120 Volt white LED bulb was marketed in 2001. GeoBulb was started in 2006 with the goal to reduce energy consumption by 10% worldwide through more efficient lighting.

The current GeoBulb® line of LED light bulbs uses state-of-the-art white LED light emitters that are built to give many years of service in a variety of situations. They are designed to give high performance, energy savings and long life. The unique construction of a GeoBulb results in a light source that is more far more efficient than a comparable incandescent bulb, and it is cooler and longer lasting. It is possible to save money over a comparable compact florescent bulb (CFL) and is more environmentally friendly because it contains no mercury or other toxic chemicals typically found in a CFL.

From the beginning our objective is to make the Geobulb the most reliable, energy efficient bulb with consistent performance over its lifespan to save the most resources. The GeoBulb is the light bulb of the future that everyone can benefit from today.
